Modern Usonian
The original Usonian style architecture was carefully maintained in this addition and remodel. The original 1000-square-foot, 2-bedroom house was remodeled to add a third bedroom and bath. The kitchen was expanded to open into the living room.
A modern accessory structure was constructed in the corner of the backyard. The dramatic roof shape was a creative solution to the planning constraints for accessory buildings. The indoor-outdoor room with a full bath is a special element in the family's outdoor activities.
